Merchr Photo Sales Shop for ClickaSnap

Image
Merchr Photo Sales Shop for ClickaSnap Monday this week, December 11, 2023, ClickASnap rushed its affiliate Merchr sales shop onto the Internet. They may have conducted a modicum of Beta testing but it doesn't show. Multiple oversights were initially obvious. Some have been addressed by Wednesday, but others remain. Image from my Lens4anEye profile at ClickaSnap and product at the Merchr site.   Pro and Seller subscribers must log into the Merchr site every time they want to connect. Initially, there were no "print to paper" options. Only 166 various objects including Matte Canvas (at a high price.) While existing products at the CAS Shop site were available to set up as Merchr products on a one at a time basis, additional images must be uploaded fresh from your computer. This necessitates re-uploading any images not previously a CAS product. After the paper options were added they are located at the 7th of 8 pages of product choices. Then and Now

Image
Then and Now is a concept for a photographic album which contains pairs of pictures across many years, even decades. The pairing is not limited to only two pictures. Some examples have several entries from one period and there are examples from four or five (again not limited) time references. The essential purpose is to display how the subjects have changed. In order to gain a dedicated following for being a photographer, one must develop a style and set of themes which the audience can come to expect and look forward to seeing. To that end, I seek imagery which fits into my collection of photo albums. Then I can point viewers to specific topics which interest them. Periodically, I repost the album reference where the audience is expected to be. Once it a while someone will contact me saying "where are you? I haven't seen anything new for a while." I always have to reply so they know I am still around. Since not everyone is interested in all my subjects I make an album

Scenes Along the Highway

Image
Lens4anEye is my profile name on the ClickaSnap.com photo platform. Link to the Scenes Along the Highway Album Come along with me on a journey across and around this great country. Every road connects to every other either directly or by another road. Some of those roads are over 100 years old now and still contain some of the most interesting and iconic scenes. My camera and lens-like eye preserves the remains of many locations which are on the verge of complete disappearance. At the same time there are people who seek to preserve and reuse the structures and landscapes for their present and future use. I have put as much detail as I can into the descriptions for those who wish to know more about the places. Many of these photographs are available as prints or digital downloads. CLICKASNAP , the photo sharing platform these pictures are hosted on, is in the midst of a Seller's Shop overhaul. If you want to make a purchase but have any questions, email me at Lens4anEye@

Fleeing From Social Media

Image
Union Station, Washington, DC Social media was suppose to be "all things to all people." Its promise was to be an avenue of access for everyone to to have access to everyone else. The lure was for everyone to have a voice and be able to express themselves. But then it became its own worst nightmare. For early adopters it was like being able to walk around the town square listening to whoever was speaking, singing; looking at the sidewalk art and performers. It was the place to make yourself known for your message, art, politics, philosophy, etc. The atmosphere was more like a Renaissance Fair than livestock auction. The free exchange of ideas and culture became overshadowed by the sellers and professional advertisers. Every message was "brought to you by" some other paid entity. In short, the fun became serious. The content became business. The debate and exchange of ideas became propaganda. Information became co-mixed with disinformation.  Crevices and and cracks f
